That is an understandable complaint.  That sets people up for disappointment.  If you're wondering why Primerica would do this, it's because not pulling punches is meaner than pulling punches.  Not pulling punches actually does more harm than good.  There's so many people in the company who are loving it and having success who probably wouldn't have given the Primerica opportunity a try if someone hadn't pulled punches with them.  Primerica is difficult but the prize is absolutely worth the price.  No one should ever promise that it'll be pleasant but everyone can promise that it'll be "worth it".  People need to discover the good, the bad, and the ugly in bits and pieces as they work along in the business.  Thank God that they pulled punches with me.  If they hadn't, I probably wouldn't have tried it and I'm thinking now about all that I would have missed out on.  Now, that would have been mean of them!
